Infagon v5.1 bug - Buffer overflow

Postby jmvandam on Thu Dec 24, 2009 2:51 pm

Currently I'm working on a very complex database which has very long expressions which are probably too long to handle by Infagon.

When you exceed the 256 symbols you will receive an memory error which keeps on popping up.

The FCO-IM Casetool (16 bits) is known to have this problem. It should have been fixed when all the code was converted to 32 bit.

However... I little test from my side confirmed the bug.
Will take some time to find the cause and fix it.

The only - not so good - workaround is keeping the sentences short.

Sorry.

Could you please inform me where I can find information about new releases of the Infagon software?

Information about new releases is posted on the main product websites. Since we release infrequently this requires manual checking. Therefore we will create a mailing list for people who like to be informed about new releases. As soon as this list is operational or another version of infagon is released you will be notified by e-mail.

Kind regards,
Jeanot
